Hello
What happened in the past that was painful has a great deal to do with what we are today. -William Glasser
About Me
Alicia Eggleston is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has been practicing therapy since 2017 and has greatly enjoyed creating a safe place for her clients to process their feelings and look at difficult truths. Seeing the important role that mental health has played in the lives of those around her, she has a passion for guiding people through the process of self discovery. To Alicia, being able to walk with people through this process is a privilege, and though the journey is shared, the work and accomplishments belong explicitly to the client. Using a conversational approach, Alicia hopes to present clients with genuine, sometimes difficult, reflection in order for the client to see and grow from a clear view of the big picture.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long have you been practicing?
I have been practicing for 7 years.
What licenses do you have?
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Do you work with LGBTQ+ clients?
I do but I like to refer them to Taylor if that’s the presenting concern for their therapy as that is one of Taylor’s specialty areas.
Do you provide religious/Christian based therapy?
I love to provide Christian based therapy when it fits my client’s needs or desires.
Why did you become a therapist?
Seeing other people’s mental health and relational struggles throughout her life, I have always felt a desire to help others who experience these difficulties in their lives.
What kinds of clients do you enjoy working with the most?
I enjoy working with clients with life changes, couples issues, identity issues, anger, and emotion regulation of many varieties.
What will our first session look like?
I utilize the first session to build trust and discuss background and the expected therapy experience.
How should I prepare for our first session?
Be thinking of what you want your therapist to know about you, even if it has nothing to do with why you are seeking therapy. Therapy is centered around the relationship and the more you are able to share with your therapist, the easier it will be to navigate the reasons you are here.
Will you give me homework in between sessions?
I utilize homework in sessions so that my clients can get the most out of their experience. However, it is important to remember that this is not school and no one fails an assignment. While some of them will potentially make progress quicker, the client is never graded on what they decide to do with their homework.
What are some things I should know about working with you?
I utilize humor in therapy along with the front line belief that my clients are the experts on their lives. I will push you and encourage you through difficult decisions and work with your goals to decide on the direction to go in. While laughter will take place in sessions, there is also room to cry, cuss, or pray about whatever you need. Therapy is a place to take off the mask that the rest of the world sees and I do not take lightly the privilege of being able to be a part of this with my clients.
If I seem like the right fit for you, your couple system, or your family please reach out to set up a phone intake and schedule our initial appointment. I am currently only offering virtual sessions.
